Going to the sharks!

Our brief was to develop a restaurant and retail complex over an existing Victorian Aquarium. The Berkeley Consultancy has experienced the seemingly impossible before. Imagine, if you can, what it is like to handle a building team, told that the job entails working just a few feet above a pool of deep, clear blue water.

The danger is obvious; the impossible comes with the stark reality that the pool is home to a fleet of very large sharks.
